1. Create a new Outlook profile.
    1. Open Control Panel and navigate to “Mail (Microsoft Outlook)”.

    2. Click on “Show Profiles” – and then “Add.”
    3. Sign in with your (new) Microsoft 365 credentials.



If the user receives sign in errors, many of which start with an “AADST…”, further troubleshooting may be required. First, we suggest trying the MS Support and Recovery Assistant tool to setup a new Outlook Profile. Various troubleshooting steps can be found below.

Support and Recovery Assistant Tool:
 This removal will reset the application to a clean slate and remove the license, as well as removing cached Office account information.

  1. Close out of ‘ALL’ Office applications.

    This is used for Office reset activation on multiple devices and on devices you can’t access immediately.

  3. -Outlook Scan
    Scans Outlook for known issues and generates a comprehensive configuration report for Outlook, Office, and Windows. A full or offline scan can be run.

    Scrubs any version of Office from a device. Use when you can't fully remove Office through Control Panel.
                    
  5. -Office Activation          
    Automated checks and recoveries to reset activation-related settings so you can successfully activate a subscription version of Office.

  6. -Office Shared Computer Activation    
    Automated checks and recoveries to either enable or disable Office Shared Computer Activation.

  7. -Outlook Calendar Scan            
    Scans your Outlook calendar by using the Calendar Checking tool (CalCheck) for dozens of known problems.
          
  8. -Teams Meeting Add-in for Outlook      
    Automated checks and recoveries to help you get the Teams Meeting Add-in for Outlook running.
       
  9. -Reset Office Activation            
    Clear any previous activations of Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise to remove related licenses and cached Office account information. This resets Office applications to a clean state. Then, you can activate the applications by using a different Office account or change to a different license mode.
